Reporting Categories

Group services and products under shared reporting labels for analytics and exports.

Reporting categories give services and products a shared internal label.

Use them when different items should roll up under one stable name in analytics, exports, or operational reporting.

Where to find them

There is no separate reporting-category settings page today. You set them from the Reporting section on:

  • Settings -> Services -> [service]
  • Settings -> Products -> [product]

The same category list is reused across both services and products.

What you can do

  • choose an existing category
  • create a new category while editing a service or product
  • clear the category if the item should stop rolling up under that label

Good examples

Reporting categories work best for stable business groupings such as:

  • lab diagnostics
  • memberships
  • supplements
  • consultation packages

That keeps reporting cleaner than repeating slightly different free-text labels on every item.

Important details

  • reporting categories are separate from the Include in reports toggle
  • a category groups items together, but it does not force them into reports on its own
  • categories are internal reporting labels, not patient-facing names
  • they do not change pricing, checkout, or availability
  • the same category can be reused on both services and products

Creating a new category

If the category does not exist yet:

  1. Open a product or service.
  2. Go to Reporting.
  3. Start typing in the reporting category field.
  4. Choose the create option.

circleOS trims and normalizes the title before saving it, so obvious near-duplicates are blocked instead of creating several versions of the same label.
